DYK? 🚌The Office of Archaeological Studies offers field trips to the Center for New Mexico Archaeology—and funding may be available to help your school get there. Thanks to a generous grant from the Friends of Archaeology, schools across New Mexico can apply for support through the OAS School Bus Fund, designed to help cover transportation costs for classes that might not otherwise be able to attend. Give your students the chance to explore archaeology, history, and hands-on learning in an engaging environment. To learn more or request transportation assistance, please visit nmarchaeology.org/education-outreach/ or contact Ziggy Prothro at ziggy.prothro@dca.nm.gov ...

Recently, OAS received a special delivery of items that will become a central feature of our education and outreach program. OAS Educator Ziggy Prothro and Director Dr. John Taylor-Montoya had the opportunity to unbox them this last week. We are teaming with the Wonders on Wheels program to bring a traveling exhibit about Ice Age New Mexico for the public. Museum quality replicas of Ice Age megafauna will form a core part of that exhibition and our ongoing education program about the Ice Age. This is possible through support from the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and the generosity of donors. You can get involved, too. Visit our website to find out how. Look for the WoW exhibition in spring 2027 to see them all and follow us for more updates and previews! ...

Most of all, thank you to everyone that came out to visit the Center and take part in the learning and fun! ...
